Report: ANI

MANDI BAHAUDDIN: On the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Adeel Haider, an important meeting regarding the e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) was held at the DC Office under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Dr. Iffat-un-Nissa, with officers from across the district participating.

A detailed briefing was given on various features of e-FOAS, including the receipt and processing of online applications, digital filing and transfer of cases between departments.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Dr. Iffat-un-Nissa said that, on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the modern e-FOAS system has been implemented in provincial departments of Mandi Bahauddin in place of the traditional file system to promote a paperless working environment and bring government offices in line with modern technology.

She said the implementation of e-FOAS would ensure greater speed, transparency and effective monitoring in government affairs, while improving record management and reducing office expenses. The system would also enable timely processing of applications, transfer of cases and effective monitoring of progress through the online platform.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed all officers to ensure activation of their respective departmental logins and exchange official letters and correspondence through e-FOAS. She further directed them to present a one-week progress report at the next meeting so that implementation-related obstacles could be addressed promptly and departmental performance effectively reviewed.
