ISLAMABAD– Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Pakistan’s dignity and prestige in the Muslim world and the international community are rooted in the sacrifices of its Armed Forces.
In a statement, he said the soldiers who lay down their lives defending the country’s borders are the pride of the nation, adding that living nations always honour their martyrs and heroes. He stressed that Pakistan’s martyrs and veterans are the guarantors of the country’s freedom, security, and sovereignty.
Dr. Siddiqui said that questioning the services and sacrifices of the Armed Forces at this critical time is a grave injustice to the country and the nation. He urged all political forces to place national interest above political considerations.
The Federal Minister also called on public figures to avoid using language that could undermine the morale of Pakistan’s armed forces or hurt the sentiments of the families of martyrs.
