QUETTA—At least 10 vehicles, including four oil bowser trucks, were on fire by unidentified armed men in the Padak and Mill areas of Nushki late Monday night, leaving one person injured.
According to reports, the attackers opened fire on parked vehicles before setting them ablaze. The injured person was shifted for medical treatment, while the vehicles were completely destroyed.
The incident is the latest in a series of attacks on the Quetta–Karachi and Quetta–Taftan highways. Earlier, six LPG bowser trucks were torched in the Mill area, while 10 vehicles carrying minerals were also set on fire in a separate attack.
Transporters in Balochistan have urged the government to take immediate and effective measures to ensure security on the highways, protect lives and property, and prevent further losses to the transport sector.
