ISLAMABAD— Chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, said that his party believes in action rather than empty promises, adding that the growing number of people joining the party from across Pakistan reflects public disappointment with traditional political parties.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of party office-bearers, local leaders and workers at the party office, where social and political leader Dr. Malik Yasin from Attock formally joined the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party. The event was also attended by prominent lawyer Usama Hussain Joyia from Mianwali, Chaudhry Zafar from Pind Begwal, international cricketer Masood Anwar, and a delegation of journalists from the Financial Times, including Dr. Majeed and Naseem Hassan.
A delegation from UC-62 Khanna Dak also met Khaqan Waheed Khawaja and raised concerns over the area’s water supply. He assured residents that the issue would be addressed on a priority basis.
Khaqan Waheed Khawaja said resolving grassroots issues is the central objective of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party, adding that the inclusion of educated professionals and community leaders from Attock, Mianwali and other districts would further strengthen the party. He announced that a comprehensive organizational policy would soon be introduced nationwide to empower ordinary citizens, address their concerns and build a better future.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Malik Yasin said he joined the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party after witnessing its commitment to public service and fulfillment of its promises despite not being in government. He expressed confidence that the party would provide an effective platform to serve the people.
Lawyer Usama Hussain Joyia said the educated class was increasingly supporting the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party, reflecting the public’s desire for genuine political change and stronger grassroots representation.
