Islamabad, August 25, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has congratulated Chaudhry Tariq Farooq on his election as Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and expressed his best wishes for his new responsibilities.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Chaudhry Tariq Farooq’s election as Speaker reflects the confidence of the Assembly members and leadership in his abilities. He described him as an astute, experienced and seasoned political leader.
The Speaker expressed hope that under Chaudhry Tariq Farooq’s leadership, parliamentary traditions in the AJK Legislative Assembly would be further strengthened and the Assembly would play an active role in addressing the issues of the people of Azad Kashmir.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also prayed for Chaudhry Tariq Farooq’s success in discharging his new responsibilities.
