ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI) and Chinese company Hainan CISAS Human Resources Co., Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting trade, economic cooperation, business relations and investment opportunities between Pakistan and China.
A Chinese delegation comprising Dr. Rizwan Ali, CEO of Hainan CISAS Human Resources Co., Ltd.; Xu Dong Hai, CEO of Zhongtai Special Cable Technology (Pvt.) The participants discussed the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China and stressed the need to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) contacts and expand bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
PAEI Founder Chairman Khurshid Barlas said both sides would organize direct B2B meetings with business delegations to explore ways to enhance trade, business cooperation and business-friendly policies.
Under the MoU, the two sides will facilitate participation of their respective business communities in national and international exhibitions, conferences and other business-related events. They will also exchange information and explore new areas of mutual cooperation.
The two sides agreed to organize a Made-in-Pakistan Exhibition in China, with the Chinese side assuring its full cooperation and support. Khurshid Barlas also proposed organizing a Made-in-China Exhibition in Pakistan with the cooperation of both organizations.
Dr. Rizwan Ali said joint exhibitions would provide companies from both countries with opportunities to showcase their products, develop new business partnerships and promote trade and investment.
Xu Dong Hai said the agreement would facilitate the business communities of Pakistan and China through exhibitions, B2B conferences and other commercial activities.
The meeting concluded with Khurshid Barlas presenting a commemorative shield to the visiting Chinese delegation on behalf of PAEI.
The signing of the MoU marks another step towards strengthening Pakistan-China economic and business relations and creating new opportunities for cooperation between the business communities of both countries.
