ISLAMABAD — Jammu and Kashmir Community International has announced that the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan will be celebrated on August 14 with great zeal, patriotism and national unity in Pakistan and around the world.
According to the organization, Kashmiri diaspora communities and Pakistanis in different countries will jointly organize events to mark the occasion. Special prayers will be offered for Pakistan’s freedom, sovereignty, security and prosperity, while the historic, national and emotional bonds between the Kashmiri and Pakistani peoples will also be reaffirmed.
The organization further announced that on August 15, 2026, Kashmiris around the world will observe India’s Independence Day as a Black Day. Protests are expected to be held outside Indian embassies and consulates in various countries to highlight alleged human rights violations in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and express support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Jammu and Kashmir Community International reaffirmed that the Kashmiri diaspora would continue to advocate peacefully and diplomatically for the Kashmir issue, the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination.
