ISLAMABAD— Chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party, Rawal General and Dental Hospital, and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, has stressed that ensuring quality education for every child is the state’s responsibility, calling for urgent measures to improve academic standards, particularly in the field of medical education.
Speaking to students from various schools and colleges, Khawaja said education is a fundamental right of every child and that a strong, progressive, and prosperous Pakistan can only be built on the foundation of quality education.
During the interaction, students, particularly those enrolled in FSc (Pre-Medical) and Medical Technology programmes, expressed serious concerns over the quality of teaching, practical training, and academic facilities. They said existing shortcomings were adversely affecting their academic performance and future professional careers.
Khawaja termed the students’ concerns legitimate and urged the relevant regulatory bodies and education authorities to take effective steps to maintain the highest academic standards across all disciplines, especially in medical education. He said that without quality education, not only would students’ futures suffer, but the country’s healthcare system would also be weakened.
He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party would continue to raise its voice for every child’s right to education, educational justice, and the promotion of quality medical education, while playing its role in achieving these objectives.
