Swiss companies continue to play a meaningful role in Pakistan’s economic development, bringing long-term investment, technical know-how and professional expertise across key sectors. Their steady presence in the country reflects growing confidence in Pakistan’s business potential and the strength of commercial ties between the two countries.
Last week, a delegation from the Embassy of Switzerland in Pakistan, led by Deputy Head of Mission Marius Stucki, visited several Swiss companies operating in Karachi. The delegation met teams at SICPA, Archroma, SGS, Givaudan and Habib Metropolitan Bank, and also held discussions with representatives of the Swiss Business Council.
The visit highlighted how Swiss companies are maintaining high professional standards while contributing to innovation and local capacity building. Across the businesses, the emphasis remained on long-term commitment, skilled workforce development and support for Pakistan’s wider economic progress.
For Pakistan’s corporate landscape, the continued engagement of Swiss companies signals more than foreign investment. It reflects an active partnership built on trust, stability and shared business interests, with local talent development emerging as an important part of that relationship.
