Ambassador Han Sungho visited the Islamabad Museum on June 18, where he toured the Gandhara heritage facilities developed under the Korea Heritage Agency’s ODA project. The visit included the Gandhara Cultural Heritage Center and the Digital Immersive Gallery, both designed to present Pakistan’s ancient legacy through a modern museum experience.
The Gandhara heritage display at the museum reflects the effort to preserve and showcase one of the region’s most important cultural traditions. The Digital Immersive Gallery adds a contemporary dimension to that work, allowing visitors to engage with history in a more interactive setting.
Officials and museum observers see such initiatives as an important bridge between cultural preservation and public education. With support from the Korea Heritage Agency’s development work, the project highlights how international cooperation can help protect heritage while making it more accessible to local and foreign visitors.
The Islamabad Museum visit also underscored the growing interest in cultural diplomacy and heritage-based tourism. By bringing attention to the Gandhara heritage collection, the project strengthens Pakistan’s cultural narrative and offers a wider audience a closer look at the historical value of the Gandhara civilisation.
