RAWALPINDI — Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan’s security, sovereignty and national stability are non-negotiable, adding that attempts to promote anti-state narratives and destabilize the country will not be tolerated.
Addressing a ceremony in Rawalpindi, he paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism, saying the martyrs and their families were a source of pride for the entire nation.
Commenting on Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s political stance, Chaudhry described him as a senior and respected politician but pointed to what he termed contradictions between his recent position and past statements. He stressed that political leadership must maintain consistency, particularly on matters concerning national security.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan had achieved significant progress on security and diplomatic fronts. He also praised the armed forces for their professionalism and resolve during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
Highlighting the economic situation, he said the PML-N government had taken responsibility amid serious financial challenges and undertaken measures to stabilize the economy and revive development activities.
He added that the PML-N believed in public service, performance and development rather than politics of confrontation, hatred and division.
Referring to development projects in Rawalpindi, Chaudhry said efforts had been made to improve hospitals, educational institutions, roads and other basic facilities.
He emphasized that defending Pakistan and maintaining national stability were collective responsibilities, requiring unity, strong defence and effective diplomacy.
