MANDI BAHAUDDIN: Assistant Commissioner Malikwal Sohail Riaz Chheena, along with DDHO Malikwal and the Sub Engineer Buildings, conducted a detailed inspection of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Malikwal, several Rural Health Centres (RHCs) and Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics.
During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner inspected fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment at various health facilities. He checked their availability, condition and expiry dates and directed the concerned staff to keep all safety arrangements fully operational at all times.
Sohail Riaz Chheena directed Rescue 1122 officials to ensure functional testing of fire safety equipment. He said the safety of patients and staff at government hospitals and health centres was a top priority.
He instructed officials to keep all protective equipment in usable condition so that immediate and effective action could be taken in case of an emergency.
The Assistant Commissioner also directed the concerned officers to regularly monitor fire safety arrangements at hospitals and health centres and immediately address any deficiencies.
