THATTA –The Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Government of Sindh, has launched mid-term assessments for students from Grade IV onwards across its supported schools throughout the province to evaluate learning outcomes and monitor academic progress.
As part of the monitoring drive, SEF Deputy Director Mona Zubedi and Programme Officer Farzana Akhtar visited several SEF-supported schools in Thatta district to review the ongoing assessments.
During the visits, the officials inspected examination arrangements, checked student attendance and the distribution of question papers, and reviewed compliance with the prescribed assessment guidelines.
The monitoring drive is being conducted on the special directives of the Managing Director of the Sindh Education Foundation. Directors, deputy directors, district officers and other officials have also been assigned to oversee examinations in different districts and ensure transparency and uniform standards.
SEF officials said the assessments would help identify students’ learning gaps, evaluate teaching effectiveness and guide future teacher training, improvements in learning materials and the allocation of academic resources.
The foundation aims to use the findings to improve educational standards, particularly in rural and underserved areas of Sindh. The assessments are continuing according to the established schedule under the supervision of designated monitoring teams.
