ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and founder of Muslim Talaba Mahaz Pakistan, Ubaid Abbasi, has said that Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and no conspiracy can weaken the historic, ideological, and emotional bond between Pakistan and Kashmir.

In a statement, Abbasi alleged that certain members of the Action Committee are working to undermine Pakistan–Kashmir relations while pursuing an external agenda. He said the Pakistan Armed Forces are deployed along the borders to safeguard the people of Kashmir, adding that many Kashmiris hold important positions within the armed forces, reflecting the strong and enduring relationship between Pakistan and Kashmir.

He said this bond of love, trust, and sacrifice will always remain strong. According to Abbasi, political differences should be resolved through dialogue, democratic values, and constitutional means. He further alleged that the Action Committee, under the guise of protests and condemnation, is spreading fear and unrest, and asserted that the state cannot bow before such disruptive elements.

Abbasi stressed that the country’s political system requires continuous reforms and that political parties must strengthen internal democracy. He said one of the major reasons for the weakness of political parties is the failure to respect and value their workers. Had political workers been given the dignity and recognition they deserved in political and public affairs, the situation would have been different.

He also stated that the existing system has been weakened by the influence of elites, wealthy groups, political turncoats, favoritism, and nepotism. Despite these shortcomings, he claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) remains the best available political choice under the current circumstances and that Punjab is being governed more effectively than other provinces.

Abbasi concluded by emphasizing that creating employment opportunities for Pakistan’s youth is one of the foremost responsibilities of every government and is essential for the country’s long-term development.
