MUZAFFARABAD—Director General Audit Azad Jammu and Kashmir Muhammad Saeedullah Khan Niazi presented the Annual Audit Report on the Accounts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2025-26 to Acting President of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar at the President House, Muzaffarabad.
The presentation was made under Article 50-A (6) of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Interim Constitution Act, 1974.
On the occasion, Director General Audit Muhammad Saeedullah Khan Niazi briefed the Acting President in detail about the annual performance of the Audit Department of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and its activities during the financial year 2025-26.
Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar directed that the audit system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir should be made more transparent and effective, and all possible efforts should be utilised to further improve the system. He assured the Director General Audit of his full cooperation in this regard.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and other important issues were also discussed between the Acting President and the Director General Audit Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
