ISLAMABAD– Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry has said the government believes in reconciliation and made serious efforts to resolve political issues through dialogue, but PTI deliberately sabotaged the negotiation process.
Addressing a press conference alongside Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan, he said the government remained ready to engage all political forces and resolve differences through democratic means.
Danyal Chaudhry alleged that certain elements were promoting politics of hatred and division, adding that the government would continue consultations with all parties in the national interest.
Speaking about the situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he raised concerns over governance, law and order and terrorism, saying more than 2,000 terrorism incidents had occurred in the province and over 72 personnel had lost their lives in attacks.
He said national unity and joint efforts were essential to counter terrorism and ensure peace and stability, reiterating the government’s commitment to dialogue and political consultation.
