Report: ANI Correspondent:
ISLAMABAD– Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the reported killing of two Pakistani citizens in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near Kasur's Lodhar village.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said targeting unarmed Pakistani citizens with gunfire was deeply regrettable and condemnable. He expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased, identified as Azmat Rasool and Mohsin Jatt of Jattan Wali Haveli.
He said targeting unarmed civilians at the international border constituted, in his view, a serious violation of the sanctity of human life and established border protocols.
The PPP chairman also criticised the Indian government and Indian media over what he described as attempts to present a fabricated narrative regarding the incident.
He said Pakistan desired peace, but its commitment to peace should not be mistaken for weakness, adding that the country remained united in defence of its sovereignty and security.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on India to respect established international border protocols and the sanctity of human life.
