KARACHI— Indonesia and Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral trade, promoting two-way investment, and strengthening economic cooperation at the Indonesia–Pakistan Investment and Business Forum held in Karachi.
The forum, organized by the Embassy of Indonesia in Islamabad and the Consulate General of Indonesia in Karachi with support from the Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Abu Dhabi, brought together government officials, business leaders, investors, and representatives of trade bodies from both countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Indonesian Consul General Mudzakir, FPCCI Acting President Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Indonesian Ambassador Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Chandra W. Sukotjo, and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah highlighted the need to diversify trade, encourage investment, and accelerate progress towards a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
The speakers identified manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, healthcare, infrastructure, logistics, digital technology, and the halal industry as key sectors for future collaboration.
The forum concluded with business networking sessions and a shared commitment to transform the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Indonesia into stronger trade, investment, and sustainable economic growth.
