Report by Raja Usman Ali

MURREE— The main sewer line of Khani Building in Lower Bazaar has reportedly remained damaged for a long time, causing sewage water and waste to continuously overflow into nearby streets and residential areas. The situation has created severe inconvenience for local residents, shopkeepers, and pedestrians, while making it particularly difficult for children, women, and the elderly to move around safely.
According to local residents, stagnant sewage water has spread a foul smell throughout the area, creating an unhygienic environment and increasing the risk of disease outbreaks.
Residents say the owners of Khani Building have been informed about the issue several times. However, no effective measures have yet been taken to repair the damaged sewer line, leaving the community to face ongoing hardship.
The residents have appealed to the relevant authorities to take immediate notice of this serious public issue, initiate legal action against those responsible, and ensure the urgent repair of the main sewer line at Khani Building so that the difficulties faced by the public can be resolved.
