ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Division has issued a formal notification for the deployment of 23,500 additional police personnel in Islamabad for security duties.
According to the notification, 15,000 personnel will be requisitioned from Punjab, 8,000 from Sindh and 500 from Balochistan. The personnel will be deployed in Islamabad on September 20.
The federal government has directed the provincial governments to make necessary arrangements for the timely deployment of the police force.
