“Qalandarana adayein, Sikandarana jalal, Yeh ummatein hain jahan mein, barhana shamsheerein.”

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

At a time of extraordinary geopolitical uncertainty, Pakistan’s growing diplomatic engagement and determination to safeguard its national interests represent a moment of pride and encouragement. The strategic vision, professional commitment and diplomatic initiatives of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces; Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik, DG ISI and National Security Adviser; Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi; and other national institutions reflect the importance of coordinated leadership in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and international standing.

The recent escalation of tensions involving Iran and the wider Middle East created serious concerns about the possibility of a broader regional confrontation, with potentially devastating consequences for international peace and security. In such circumstances, Pakistan's geographical importance, longstanding relationships across the Muslim world and engagement with major international powers provide an opportunity to contribute constructively towards de-escalation and peaceful dialogue.

Pakistan’s approach demonstrates that national strength is not measured by military capabilities alone. Strategic restraint, sound decision-making, military diplomacy and effective international engagement are equally important instruments of statecraft. The objective must remain the protection of national interests while encouraging peaceful solutions to regional disputes.

This diplomatic engagement also carries a message of hope for Saudi Arabia and the wider Muslim Ummah. The Islamic world needs unity, stability and economic cooperation rather than prolonged conflicts and political divisions. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Türkiye and other Muslim-majority countries must strengthen mutual understanding, respect sovereignty and work towards common interests.

Pakistan’s diplomatic role should be viewed as an opportunity to promote confidence-building, protect innocent lives and facilitate constructive engagement between competing international interests. True diplomatic success is not simply the achievement of strategic advantages; it is the prevention of conflict, preservation of human life and creation of opportunities for future generations.

Within this broader national perspective, the vision and political engagement of Hamid Ali Wahlah also deserve consideration. His political initiatives, which began in July 2020, and efforts towards coordination among different political forces reflect his stated aspiration for a politically stable, economically prosperous and internationally respected Pakistan. The country's political developments, including the formation of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), demonstrate the significance of political dialogue and collective engagement in national affairs.

For Pakistan, the present diplomatic environment offers an opportunity to strengthen its international position while maintaining balanced relations with the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran and other important partners. The contributions of the country's military and civilian leadership should be assessed within this wider strategic framework, recognising that sustainable progress requires institutional coordination and national unity.

However, international recognition must translate into tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary citizens. Economic stability, employment generation, quality education, accessible healthcare, justice, investment and institutional transparency must remain national priorities. Diplomatic achievements acquire their greatest significance when accompanied by domestic development and public welfare.

The Holy Qur’an reminds us:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ

“Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d: 11)

This divine message reminds us that national transformation requires discipline, accountability, collective responsibility and sincere efforts towards improvement.

Pakistan must continue communicating a clear message to the international community: we seek peace, not war; dialogue, not confrontation; and cooperation, not division. Our armed forces, diplomatic institutions, political leadership and citizens must work together to secure a future defined by sovereignty, prosperity and dignity.

A Prayer for Pakistan and the Muslim World

May Allah Almighty grant Pakistan greater honour, stability and prosperity. May He bless our armed forces and national leadership with wisdom, courage and integrity. May He establish unity among Muslim nations, protect innocent people affected by conflicts and guide world leaders towards peaceful resolutions.

May Pakistan emerge as a symbol of responsible leadership, strategic maturity, diplomatic excellence and commitment to humanity.

Pakistan Zindabad!

Pakistan Armed Forces Paindabad!

Ameen, Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen.
