A large number of residents attended the session and presented their complaints, concerns and suggestions before the Authority’s officials.

The Open Court was led by Director Enforcement FGEHA Tanveer Haider Khokhar. Director Maintenance Riffaqat Bhatti, Deputy Director Enforcement Malik Nauman Akbar, Assistant Director Enforcement Rizwan Shah and other concerned officers were also present.

Director Enforcement Tanveer Haider Khokhar listened to the issues raised by residents and market representatives and assured them of all possible cooperation. He also issued necessary directions to the concerned officials for appropriate action on matters falling within the Authority’s jurisdiction.

The residents’ delegation was represented by Javed Qureshi, while Mumtaz Ali and Chaudhry Amjad Ali also attended as members of the residents’ representatives. The participants highlighted issues relating to development works, cleanliness, infrastructure, roads, drainage and other essential civic facilities in the sector.

FGEHA officials heard the complaints in detail and assured the residents that genuine and actionable issues would be addressed on a priority basis. Necessary instructions were also issued to the relevant departments for follow-up action.

Director Maintenance Riffaqat Bhatti briefed the participants on the overall situation in the sector, ongoing development and maintenance activities, and the Authority’s future plans. He also explained the responsibilities of the relevant departments and the proposed course of action for resolving the issues raised during the Open Court.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Enforcement Tanveer Haider Khokhar said direct engagement between FGEHA and residents played an important role in ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances. He said the complaints raised by residents were being taken seriously and that the relevant departments would be mobilised to address actionable issues.

The residents appreciated FGEHA for organising the Open Court, saying that such initiatives provide an effective platform for identifying problems and facilitating practical solutions. Representatives of the Market Trade Union also presented issues concerning local markets and the business community. The traders were represented by Asif, Saifullah and Fazal Shah, who apprised the officials of their concerns.

Director Enforcement Tanveer Haider Khokhar made it clear that enforcement operations in the markets would be conducted uniformly and without discrimination. He said illegal encroachments, unauthorised occupation of government land and unlawful construction would not be tolerated, adding that action would be taken strictly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

He further emphasised that FGEHA would ensure transparency, consistency in policy implementation and adherence to the law in all enforcement matters. At the same time, the Authority would continue consultations with relevant stakeholders to address their legitimate concerns.

At the conclusion of the Open Court, participants expressed hope that practical progress would be made on the issues raised during the session.
