JHELUM: The United Alliance has taken its first step towards success in the recent elections of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry by securing a corporate class seat unopposed.
To celebrate the achievement, a grand rally was organized by the alliance’s leaders, candidates, members and workers. The rally culminated at the office of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where participants met President Haji Zahid Hussain Butt and congratulated him on his success.
The rally was attended by Haji Noman Zahid Hussain Butt, Hafiz Ghulam Mustafa, Hafiz Maqsood Shafiq, Chaudhry Yasir Latif, Dr. Zaheer Butt, Amjad Mahmood Sethi, Haroon Sethi, Chaudhry Sohail Aziz, Raja Shahzad Ahmed, Raja Farrukh Tauqir, Sheikh Khabib Naveed, Chaudhry Muhammad Bilal Arif, Shiraz Butt, Ghafoor Chohan, Shabbir Butt, Ghafoor Butt, Chaudhry Shabbir Gujjar, Aftab Hussain, Haji Chaudhry Makhdoom Hussain, Waseem Butt, Hafiz Ismail, Zia-ur-Rehman and a large number of other alliance leaders, members and supporters.
On the occasion, United Alliance workers and members chanted slogans celebrating the victory, while sweets were distributed among the participants. The speakers said that the unopposed election of a corporate class candidate supported by the United Alliance reflected unity and the confidence of the business community. They described the achievement as a promising beginning that could pave the way for further success in the chamber elections.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Jhelum Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haji Zahid Hussain Butt thanked all the leaders, members and workers who participated in the rally. He said that the confidence and trust of the chamber’s members and the business community were valuable assets for the United Alliance.
He further stated that, God willing, practical measures would continue to be taken to address the problems faced by the business community and further improve the performance of the chamber.
