MULTAN: Dr Muhammad Akbar Sajid, Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Multan Campus, has assumed charge as Acting Head of the English Department and commenced his responsibilities.
According to an office order issued by NUML Multan Campus on September 10, 2026, Dr Sajid has been assigned the responsibilities of Acting Head of the Department with immediate effect and will continue in the position until the appointment of a regular incumbent. The notification also directed that the formal handing and taking-over process be completed by September 11, 2026.
Dr Muhammad Akbar Sajid has previously served as Head of the English Department and has extensive experience in managing its academic and administrative affairs. His familiarity with the department, faculty members and academic programmes is expected to ensure continuity and facilitate the smooth functioning of teaching and administrative activities.
After assuming charge, Dr Sajid formally began performing his responsibilities, including supervision of academic programmes, teaching arrangements, departmental administration and coordination between faculty members and campus authorities.
His colleagues and members of the academic community welcomed his return to the departmental leadership role and expressed confidence that his previous administrative experience would contribute to the continued academic progress and effective functioning of the department.
The office order was issued by Brigadier Muhammad Waqar Khalid, Regional Director of NUML Multan Campus, and circulated among all concerned officials for necessary compliance.
