ATTOCK — Additional Deputy Commissioner (Municipal Services) Attock Aneel Saeed chaired a meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to review Regional Transport Authority (RTA) affairs and discuss measures to improve the district’s transport system.

The meeting reviewed issues faced by transporters, enforcement of traffic laws, elimination of illegal transport, vehicle fitness and road safety. Causes of traffic accidents were also examined, with emphasis on precautionary measures to protect human lives.

Aneel Saeed said providing safe and quality transport facilities is a top priority of the district administration. He directed relevant departments to strengthen public awareness campaigns on traffic laws, helmet and seat-belt use, and road safety.
