ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and PTI Kisan Wing Central Information Secretary Chaudhry Khalid Nawaz Sudhraich discussed the country’s political, economic and agricultural challenges during a meeting on Sunday.
Barrister Gohar Khan said that the solution to Pakistan’s multifaceted crises lies in the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law, political stability, and result-oriented economic policies.
He highlighted what he described as a contradiction in government policies, saying that while state officials are encouraging overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country, existing investment in the agricultural sector is being discouraged.
The PTI Chairman said the party was fully aware of the economic hardships facing the country and reaffirmed its commitment to raising public and farmers’ issues on every available platform, including Parliament.
Barrister Gohar commended the efforts of the PTI Kisan Wing, saying farmers play a vital role in sustaining the national economy and ensuring food security. He stressed the need for a comprehensive agricultural policy to ensure fair compensation for farmers and increase crop yields.
During the meeting, Chaudhry Khalid Nawaz Sudhraich briefed Barrister Gohar Khan on the performance and ongoing initiatives of the PTI Kisan Wing.
Barrister Gohar said the party would continue coordinated consultations with its various wings to assess the country’s political, economic and social situation and work towards addressing inflation, unemployment, economic distress and agricultural challenges.
