ISLAMABAD–Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan and congratulated him on assuming the office, extending his best wishes.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to providing all possible assistance to accelerate development in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and improve the standard of living of its people.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people to secure their right to self-determination.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan would continue to support the Kashmiri people until they were able to determine their future through a free and impartial plebiscite in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue providing moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiri people until they secured their legitimate rights.
Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah Khan was also present at the meeting.
