KARACHI: The Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Government of Sindh, is conducting mid-term assessments for students from Grade IV onwards at SEF-supported schools across the province to evaluate learning levels, monitor academic progress and identify areas requiring further improvement.
On the directives of SEF Managing Director Gahnoor Ali Laghari, teams from the foundation’s head office have been deployed across various districts of Sindh to monitor the examinations, observe assessment procedures and ensure transparency and adherence to academic standards.
Managing Director Gahnoor Ali Laghari also visited several SEF-supported schools in Karachi to review the ongoing assessments and interact with students. During his visits, he observed the examination process and emphasised the importance of maintaining quality, fairness and transparency in the assessment system.
Speaking on the occasion, Laghari said the assessments would help evaluate students’ learning outcomes and identify learning gaps requiring further attention. He added that SEF head office teams were providing technical assistance to school staff, monitoring examinations and ensuring compliance with standardised assessment procedures.
During his visit to Save the Future School, an SEF-supported institution in Lyari, Laghari interacted with students and exchanged greetings with Hindu students celebrating Navratri. He also encouraged the school administration to organise a Diwali celebration to promote inclusion, interfaith harmony and respect for cultural diversity among students.
Meanwhile, on the MD’s directives, Deputy Director Mona Zubedi and Programme Officer Farzana Akhtar visited various schools in Thatta district to review the ongoing assessments.
