ISLAMABAD– The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) concluded a two-day auction of commercial plots in Islamabad’s prime sectors of G-13 and G-14, generating Rs10.3 billion in revenue from the sale of 16 plots.
The auction attracted strong participation from investors, with competitive bids received for commercial properties, including prime locations in G-14 Markaz.
The highest-value plot, Commercial Plot No. 8 measuring 2,000 square yards in G-14 Markaz, was sold for Rs1.95 billion.
FGEHA Director General Captain (Retd) Zafar Iqbal expressed satisfaction over the successful auction, saying the strong investor response reflected confidence in the Authority and the potential of commercial investment in Islamabad.
He appreciated the officers, concerned wings, administrative team and staff for ensuring a transparent and well-organized auction process, and thanked investors for their participation.
The DG said FGEHA would soon hold auctions of additional commercial properties to provide investors with further investment opportunities.
The Authority has also established an Investor Facilitation Cell, supervised by the Director (Staff), to provide investors with a centralized mechanism for resolving queries and issues. The cell will coordinate matters with concerned wings and monitor their timely resolution.
