The Deputy Commissioner directed authorities to take strict action against those responsible, following which an FIR was registered immediately. He also ordered a fresh search and sweeping operation across the district to recover illegal fireworks and flammable material.
Muhammad Ikram Malik said the presence of flammable material at the house resulted in the loss of precious lives and stressed that a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against those involved in the illegal fireworks business.
