GUJRANWALA — The FIA Gujranwala Zone arrested 12 suspects during operations in Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot circles from August 26 to 31, 2026, in cases involving human trafficking, forgery and fraud.

The arrested suspects include Muhammad Faisal, Babar Hussain, Muhammad Ejaz, Muhammad Jameel, Asad Mahmood, Amanat Masih, Shabbir Ahmed, Faiz Ahmed, Muhammad Sajid, Muhammad Fayaz, Ehsan Iqbal and Javed Akhtar.

According to the FIA, the suspects allegedly collected Rs 6.723 million from victims by promising employment and visas for countries including Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Poland, but failed to fulfill their commitments or return the money.

During a forensic examination of Muhammad Faisal’s mobile phone, investigators allegedly recovered fake social media IDs using the identities of well-known TikTokers and fake WhatsApp accounts operated through local and international numbers, reportedly used in Italy work visa fraud.

In separate actions, FIA Gujrat Circle arrested Faiz Ahmed in two cases, while Amanat Masih, an agent of EFU Insurance Company, was arrested for allegedly misusing his position to fraudulently obtain Rs 1 million through illegal changes to an insurance policy. Ehsan Iqbal was also arrested for allegedly receiving Rs 150,000 for an Iran Ziarat visa.

The FIA said legal action is being taken under the Immigration Ordinance 1979 and other relevant laws. Further investigation is underway, while some of the arrested suspects were also proclaimed offenders in other cases.

The FIA Gujranwala Zone reiterated that action against human traffickers, fraudsters and other elements involved in cheating citizens would continue without discrimination.
