MURREE: Minor technical faults have been detected in six of the 11 electric buses being provided to Murree under the Punjab government’s Green Bus Electric Bus Project, launched on the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi took immediate notice and personally inspected the buses along with a technical team. He directed the Transport Department to ensure prompt rectification of the identified faults and complete fitness of all buses.
According to sources, Chinese engineers will visit Murree to inspect the buses and address the technical issues. The Deputy Commissioner made it clear that none of the buses would be allowed to operate until they receive complete technical clearance and fitness certification.
The district administration said all necessary measures were being taken to ensure safe, modern and efficient transport facilities for residents and tourists.
