GUJRANWALA: Punjab Highway Patrol Gujranwala Region has intensified operations against criminal elements and directed police teams to take strict action against those involved in serious offences, including the possession of illegal weapons, drug peddling and other criminal activities.
According to police officials, special teams are conducting patrols and targeted operations at different locations across the region to prevent crime and ensure the safety of citizens. Modern technology and surveillance systems are also being utilized to identify and apprehend suspects involved in criminal activities.
Police teams have reportedly recovered illegal weapons and other prohibited items during the ongoing operations, while cases have been registered against the accused under relevant laws.
The authorities have directed field officers to maintain an effective presence on highways and other sensitive points, enhance patrolling and respond promptly to complaints received from citizens.
Senior officials said that strict action would continue against criminals and elements involved in activities threatening public peace and security. They further directed police personnel to perform their duties with professionalism and ensure the protection of life and property of citizens.
