RAWALPINDI — Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam organized a rally to mark Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, where its President, Professor Dr. Riaz Ahmad, condemned India’s August 5, 2019 decision regarding Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling it a violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Addressing the participants, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and said the Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
The rally was attended by teachers, students, and staff of Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam, along with members of the public, who carried banners and placards expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Group Captain (Retd.) Pervez Akhtar also reiterated Pakistan’s continued political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people.
