ISLAMABAD— Chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwat Party and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, has pledged to transform the lives of Islamabad’s residents, saying his party is fully aware of the issues facing every area of the capital and is committed to resolving them.
Addressing a public gathering in Union Council 18, Pind Begwal, he said that despite not being in power, his party has already initiated a network of development projects, demonstrating its commitment to public welfare. The event, held at Bannu House, was organized by Chaudhry Zafar, Haji Syed Nawaz, Zeeshan Khan, Malik Zulfiqar, and Malik Taimoor.
On the occasion, Waqar Bhatti, nephew of Major (Retd.) Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, along with Chaudhry Nadeem and Chaudhry Qasim of Model Town Humak, met with the party chairman. Later, a dinner was hosted in his honor at Police Foundation by Major (Retd.) Ahmad Nadeem Saddal, Malik Hassan, Muhammad Imran, Abdul Manan, SP (Retd.) Abid, Madam Nabila Inam, Madam Gulbahar, and local residents.
Speaking to the gathering and visiting delegations, Khawaja said his party’s priorities include education, healthcare, employment, and technical training. He noted that efforts are underway to improve roads, water supply, street lighting, schools, and vocational and handicraft training centers.
“I am planning for the future of your children. My only manifesto is to secure the next generation,” he said, adding that successive governments over the past 78 years had failed to provide quality education, employment, and healthcare. He pledged that his party would introduce transformative reforms in these key sectors.
