MANDI BAHAUDDIN–On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Adeel Haider Briar, Assistant Commissioner Malikwal Chaudhry Sohail Riaz Chheena carried out an early morning visit to the city following heavy rainfall to oversee rainwater drainage operations.
The Assistant Commissioner inspected waterlogged roads and low-lying areas and directed the concerned departments to ensure the immediate drainage of rainwater to facilitate residents and maintain smooth traffic flow. He also instructed field staff to remain on high alert and provide prompt assistance wherever needed.
Later, he visited the Jhelum River near Malikwal to review the water situation and monitor conditions after the recent rains.
