NANKANA SAHIB: A ceremony was held at the District Council Hall in Nankana Sahib to distribute educational scholarship cheques among talented students from the minority community.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Maheen Fatima, along with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Minority Wing Coordinator and Christian leader Zeeshan Gull Joyia, presented scholarship cheques of up to Rs. 100,000 each to 13 deserving students. The financial assistance is expected to significantly support the students in continuing their higher education.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants emphasized the importance of education in empowering minority youth and creating equal opportunities for their academic and professional growth.
Zeeshan Gull Joyia and the scholarship recipients expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Minister of State for Climate Change Dr. Shazra Mansab, Punjab Assembly members Mehr Kashif Rang Elahi Padhiyar, Agha Ali Haider Khan and Rana Muhammad Arshad, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao, and the district administration for their generous financial support and commitment to promoting education among minority communities.
