Uk/Islamabad— Former Secretary to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and In-Charge RCC UK, Bilawal House, Sumblina Hassan has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is not merely a political party but a symbol of sacrifice, democratic struggle, and public service.
In a statement, she paid tribute to the party’s dedicated workers and office-bearers, saying they have remained steadfast through every challenging period and have always upheld the PPP’s flag with commitment and courage.
She said the unwavering loyalty of PPP workers to the party’s ideology and leadership has been the foundation of its strength. Thousands of party workers, along with Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, made immense sacrifices for democracy and the rights of the people, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire future generations.
Sumblina Hassan said PPP workers endured imprisonment, persecution, and political hardships during periods of dictatorship but never abandoned their commitment to democratic values and the party’s ideals.
She appreciated the efforts of party office-bearers and workers for continuously serving the public and promoting the party’s vision across the country, describing them as the real strength of the PPP.
She expressed confidence that under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the party would continue its mission of strengthening democracy, protecting public rights, and serving the people of Pakistan.
