The startup investment ecosystem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received a fresh push as NIC Peshawar brought together investors, founders, and industry leaders through Invest Lab 3.0 and the KP Investor Summit 2026 in Peshawar.
The three-day Invest Lab 3.0 was designed to build investor capacity through practical learning sessions led by national and international experts. Participants explored the core elements of startup investing, including due diligence, risk assessment, portfolio strategy, and investment decision-making, with an emphasis on helping local investors better understand early-stage opportunities.
Project Director NIC Peshawar Mr. Asim Ishaq Khan said a strong startup ecosystem depends on both ambitious entrepreneurs and informed investors. He noted that Invest Lab is aimed at strengthening local investment capacity while opening more pathways for startups to access support, networks, and resources needed for growth.
Building on that effort, the KP Investor Summit 2026 created a platform for startups and investors to connect directly, encouraging networking, collaboration, and meaningful investment engagement. The summit drew participation from ecosystem partners and stakeholders linked to innovation, business development, and finance across the province and beyond.
Organizations represented at the event included Ignite, The Asia Foundation, KPEZDMC, SAIF Group, Jazz, Climaventures, Seedrise Fund, KP Startup Fund, Pakistan Startup Fund, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Evamp & Saanga, and KP Board of Investment and Trade, reflecting broad support for the region’s entrepreneurial growth.
A major attraction was the startup showcase, where seven ventures from sectors such as education technology, sustainability, and defense technology presented their ideas and growth plans to investors and business leaders. The showcase highlighted the diversity of innovation emerging from the province and the increasing appetite for startup-led solutions.
The event concluded with remarks from Mr. Muzaffar Uddin of The Asia Foundation, who stressed the importance of continued collaboration among investors, founders, and ecosystem partners to unlock the entrepreneurial potential of the region.
With initiatives such as Invest Lab 3.0 and the KP Investor Summit 2026, NIC Peshawar is helping shape a stronger startup investment pipeline in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by supporting investor education, capital mobilization, and startup engagement.
