ISLAMABAD– Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief and Member of the National Assembly Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence.
The Speaker congratulated Maulana Fazlur Rehman on performing Umrah and conveyed his best wishes to him. Maulana Fazlur Rehman thanked Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for visiting him and for conveying his congratulations and good wishes.
Speaking to the media, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that he had longstanding and close ties with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, which were above political affiliations. He said Maulana Fazlur Rehman was like a brother to him and that their relationship was based on mutual respect, sincerity and brotherhood.
He said he remained in regular contact with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and that their meetings and consultations continued from time to time.
The Speaker said that when intentions were sincere, Allah Almighty opened new avenues and created opportunities. He expressed hope that, Insha'Allah, further opportunities would continue to emerge for Pakistan's progress, stability and prosperity.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said he also remained engaged in dialogue and consultation with Members of the National Assembly. He prayed that Allah Almighty would enable all concerned to make decisions in the best interest of Pakistan and its people.
