KOTLI: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Iftikhar Gilani on Saturday received a warm welcome in Kotli upon his arrival, as large numbers of party workers and citizens from different walks of life gathered at several locations to greet him.
The AJK premier was accompanied by Speaker of the AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Minister for Finance and Rehabilitation Raja Muhammad Riyaz, Minister for Education and Schools Engineer Umair Naeem, Minister for Electricity Raja Saqib Majeed, and Members of the Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Abdul Razaq, Raja Muhammad Asif and Raja Ayaz Nisar.
At Holar, Badli Chowk Sehansa and Gulpur, people gathered along the roadsides to welcome the prime minister and catch a glimpse of him. Enthusiastic party workers danced to drumbeats and showered flower petals on his convoy.
At Badli Chowk, a large gathering led by MPA Raja Muhammad Asif welcomed Prime Minister Gilani. A reception ceremony was also attended by a large number of people from across the constituency.
At Gulpur, PML-N workers led by Minister for Finance and Rehabilitation Raja Muhammad Riyaz welcomed the prime minister and showered flower petals on his convoy.
Prime Minister Gilani later arrived at the residence of Minister for Tourism, Industries and Mineral Resources Abdul Rahman, where a large number of party workers and citizens had gathered to welcome him.
