BY: ANI Correspondent:

QUETTA — Security forces have killed more than 71 terrorists in different areas of Balochistan during the last 96 hours, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said the operations included action in the Shaban area of Quetta district, where intelligence-based operations were conducted against militant hideouts. Security forces killed 33 terrorists during Operation Shaban, while weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered.

According to ISPR, the operation was intensified over the past 72 hours, resulting in the killing of 23 more terrorists. Security forces also cleared a substantial area and continued clearance operations to eliminate the remaining threat.

ISPR said the operations were launched after intelligence agencies identified militant hideouts posing a threat to local communities. Further operations were also conducted in other areas of Balochistan, including Nushki and Mand.

The security forces’ operations are continuing as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign.
