BY: ANI Correspondent:

KARACHI — Pakistani actor Agha Mustafa has highlighted delayed payments as one of the major challenges faced by artists working in the country’s entertainment industry.

Speaking during a recent interview, the actor said that performers frequently face delays in receiving their payments even after completing their work. He shared his own experience, saying that one of the dramas he worked on had wrapped up in June, but he was still awaiting his payment months later.

Agha Mustafa said the situation can become difficult for artists because they may not receive a clear timeline regarding when their outstanding dues will be cleared.

The actor further claimed that payment delays are not limited to a particular performer and that many artists in the industry face similar difficulties, particularly those who do not have the bargaining position of established stars.

His remarks have attracted attention on social media and prompted discussion about payment practices and financial security for actors and other professionals working in Pakistan's entertainment industry. Pakistani celebrities, including Ayesha Omar and Ahmed Ali Butt, were also reported to have expressed agreement with concerns raised during the discussion.

The comments have once again brought attention to the importance of timely payments and transparent contractual arrangements for artists working in television and other entertainment productions.
