ISLAMABAD: The spokesperson for President Asif Ali Zardari has clarified reports published in a section of the media regarding the President’s recent private foreign visit, stating that the trip was entirely personal and all expenses were paid by the President himself.
In a clarification issued by the Media Wing of the Presidency, the spokesperson said that President Asif Ali Zardari personally bore all expenses related to the visit.
The spokesperson further stated that the aircraft used for the trip was privately chartered by the President. All expenses associated with the aircraft, including the crew, parking, accommodation and other related costs, were also paid personally by the President.
The clarification was issued in response to media reports concerning the nature and expenses of the President’s recent foreign visit.
