RAWALPINDI: Chairman of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat and Divisional President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Malik Abrar Ahmed (MNA), along with Parliamentary Secretary for Zakat and Ushr Punjab Malik Iftikhar Ahmed (MPA) and MPA Malik Mansoor Afsar, inaugurated the newly completed Dhok Banaras Road project on Sunday.
The Rs50 million project stretches from Byco Petrol Pump on Range Road to Dhok Banaras and Millat Abad. The development includes complete reconstruction of the road and the installation of an extensive drainage system on both sides to help prevent urban flooding and waterlogging.
Addressing the gathering, Malik Abrar Ahmed said fulfilling electoral commitments and improving civic infrastructure remain the government’s top priorities. He said the newly constructed road would improve traffic flow and address long-standing commuting and drainage problems faced by local residents.
Parliamentary Secretary Malik Iftikhar Ahmed and MPA Malik Mansoor Afsar reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating development projects across the constituency and ensuring sustainable public welfare and better civic facilities.
A large number of local elders, PML-N workers and residents attended the inauguration ceremony.
