GUJRANWALA — Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali has directed all departments to complete preparations under the flood plan and ensure effective monitoring of water flow in rain drains, canals and rivers to deal with any possible emergency during the monsoon season.
During a visit to a canal in Wazirabad, Commissioner Muhammad Ali reviewed flood safety arrangements and emphasized that timely measures should be taken to protect lives and property and shift people to safer locations in case of an emergency.
Assistant Commissioner Wazirabad Jawad Hussain briefed the commissioner on the water flow and safety arrangements at the canal.
The commissioner also inspected the beautification and painting work of the flyover near Nala Ek and issued necessary directions to the officers concerned.
