ISLAMABAD—President of the World Boxing League Pakistan, Syed Noman Shah, congratulated Spain on becoming FIFA World Cup champions after 16 years, praising the team’s outstanding performance in the final against defending champions Argentina.
He commended the Spanish captain, players, and team management for their remarkable achievement and said the Spanish nation also remembered the oppressed Palestinian people during the victory celebrations, describing it as “a victory for justice, truth, and humanity.”
Syed Noman Shah urged the federal and provincial governments to increase funding for sports, particularly boxing and football, and called for sponsorship of sporting activities at the district, sub-division, and tehsil levels to promote young talent and strengthen sports development across Pakistan.
