Mandi Bahauddin—Rescue 1122 Mandi Bahauddin has launched a practical initiative to protect citizens from the dangers of extreme heat and heat stroke by establishing heat wave relief points at various locations across the district.
Acting on the instructions of District Emergency Officer Engineer Imran Khan Mangat, Rescue 1122 personnel distributed chilled drinking water to citizens, motorcyclists, and passersby exposed to the scorching weather. Rescue teams also conducted awareness sessions on preventing heat stroke and educated the public about essential safety measures during the ongoing heat wave.
Rescue 1122 has urged citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. The emergency service further advised that anyone showing signs of heat stroke should be moved immediately to a cool place and emergency assistance should be sought by calling the Rescue 1122 helpline.
The initiative reflects Rescue 1122 Mandi Bahauddin’s commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring timely assistance during extreme weather conditions.
