Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said that Ashura arrangements have been fully mobilized across Rawalpindi to ensure the smooth facilitation of mourners and the maintenance of peace during the holy observance.
Acting on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, all relevant institutions are working in close coordination to support processions, congregations, and public service needs. Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, accompanied by MPA Ziaullah Shah, visited several sabeels set up in Rawalpindi on Friday and reviewed the arrangements on the ground.
During the visit, he inspected the facilities being provided to mourners and directed the concerned staff to treat service to mourners as a sacred duty. He emphasized that uninterrupted amenities should be ensured for all participants, with special attention to cleanliness, medical support, traffic management, emergency response, and other civic services.
He said the collective efforts of the administration and law enforcement agencies are aimed at upholding law and order, encouraging brotherhood, and strengthening religious harmony and mutual respect. According to him, these Ashura arrangements are being managed with the spirit of cooperation so that citizens can observe the day with peace and dignity.
Barrister Danyal Chaudhry also highlighted the enduring message of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala, saying their sacrifices continue to offer lessons of truth, justice, patience, and resistance against oppression for the entire Ummah.
He urged citizens to cooperate with the administration, follow the code of conduct, and play their part in promoting tolerance and peace throughout the observance.
