MITHI –The District Headquarters (DHQ) Mithi team of Sindh Emergency Rescue Service, Rescue 1122, conducted Emergency First Responder Training (EFRT), first aid and basic fire safety training for teachers and students at Public Health School Mithi on Wednesday.
Led by Station House In-charge Habibullah Rahimoon and his team, the session included theoretical guidance and practical demonstrations on responding to medical emergencies and fire incidents.
The training covered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, first aid for fractures, clearing airway obstructions, heatstroke prevention and response, and first aid for snakebites.
Participants were also briefed on different classes of fire, fire prevention measures, the proper use of fire extinguishers and the PASS technique for operating them.
The initiative aimed to strengthen emergency response skills among teachers and students, enabling them to provide timely assistance during critical situations.
Rescue 1122 Tharparkar continues to organise training sessions and public awareness activities in educational institutions to promote emergency preparedness and help save lives.
